IGI Airport, Delhi ranked 13th by OAG

Indira Gandhi International airport, Delhi secured the 13th spot, according to the survey by OAG, a travel data providing organization. Delhi rose to the position remarkably from the position it had earlier secured in 2019 with 35th position.

Three Indian airports have made their way to the list of top 50 international megahubs of 2022, according to a survey by travel data provider OAG. Airports were surveyed as per the ratio of possible scheduled international connections to the number of destinations served by an airport.

Bengaluru international airport was at the 45th, up from the 90th in 2019 and it served 66 international destinations as of August 2022. International airports of Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru have made their way to the list. The Mumbai International Airport ranked at 24th, a jump from the 51st spot in 2019, whereas the Bengaluru international airport was at the 45th, up from the 90th in 2019.

IndiGo remains low-cost airline with a 34% share of flights connections from Delhi airport, 37% share at Mumbai, and 54% at the Bengaluru airport.
